Girls Softball Beat Trinity Catholic

-By: Meg Murphy-

After a tough loss last Thursday, the girls’ softball team regained its confidence beating Trinity Catholic 2-1 on Friday. They had a strong defense and senior captain Christina DeMaio pitched a three-hitter and had 10 strikeouts, an exciting accomplishment. Offensively, they tried really hard and were able to get two runs in. Senior captain, Reilly Horan hit a double towards the end of the game, which ended up driving in the winning run. Senior Jorden Cappiello said, “"We had a tough first loss to Wilton on Thursday, but we picked it right back up and beat Trinity. We are now 5-1, and we have a big week ahead of us." This upcoming week, the girls will play Greenwich on Tuesday on their home field. Wednesday they will travel to play against Ridgefield and come back on Friday to play against St. Joe’s.
