Girls Hockey Defeats Stamford-Westhill-Staples 9-1

By Taylor Davis

On February 17, 2017 the Girls Hockey team crushed Stamford-Westhill-Staples, winning 9-1. As a result of the previous game against tough competitor, Greenwich Academy, the team was conditioned, and this allowed them to easily win. The team was pleased with their play. “We did a good job of moving the puck today,” Senior Captain Cassidy Schiff said. “We had a lot of chances on the power play which was good practice for the upcoming postseason.” Despite the team’s rough start, the team was able to gain strength and find success in the 2017 season. “It was a great end to our last regular hockey season as seniors and we can't wait to see what the postseason brings,” Schiff said.
