Darien Boys Hockey Against NC

By Arden Cohen

The DHS boy’s hockey team suffered a heartbreaking loss against their rival NC this weekend losing 4-1. Although senior captain, Max Romeyn was able to score an early goal, DHS could not come out on top. “We fought hard,” said Romeyn, “we just could not put the puck in the back of the net.” Senior Harry Congdon also played a hard fought game. Although he was disappointed, Harry believes that “we’ll get them in playoffs for sure!” Despite the result, DHS puck showed some great improvement in the neutral and offensive zone. Brendan Bumgardner had an exceptional game with 31 saves. Everyone seemed to play more confidant than the first time the two teams played. The boy’s next game is this Monday against Fairfield Ludlowe at 6.
