Girls' varsity hockey pulled off a big win against a tough Hamden team at Darien Ice Rink on Saturday.(2/13) The Blue Wave was able to walk away with an important 1-0 win bringing them to an overall record of 11-4-1. The two first periods showed tough back and forth physical play. The game remained scoreless after two periods. Then half way through the third period, senior captain, Madeline Coburn was able to score what ended up being the game winner. Senior captain Katharine Macomber (pictured) said "It was a big win for the team". As usual Macomber was huge in net stopping all 23 of Hamden's shots on goal. The Blue Wave's next match is against Greenwich at DOrothy Hamil Ice Rink, in Greenwich, Tuesday (2/16) at 4:30pm. We wish the team the best of luck with the remainder of their regular season!
