Darien boys ice hockey lost for a second time this season against New Canaan at Darien Ice Rink on Wednesday. (2/3) With the Wave playing solid the first period, the only goal scored was by New Canaan at just over three minutes remaining. Going into the second period the Wave’s hopes were high, but thoughts of victory were quickly diminishing after New Canaan struck again five minutes into the second. Not 15 seconds later, the Rams scored once more, further distancing Darien from a chance of victory. The Rams got their last goal to seal the deal with 22 seconds remaining on a power play with a final score of 4-0. The Wave falls to 5-9 CIAC and 3-3 FCIAC, they hope to better their record when they face Westhill at 6:30pm at home on Saturday. (2/5)
