Baseball Started off Hot..Now Not so Much

-By: Jack Bushell-

After starting the season 4-0 the baseball team has dropped its last 7 games. A team who graduated a large senior class last year was going to be in trouble this season. The team counts on its pitching to keep the game low scoring as the hitting has not been monumental this season. The toughest loss in the season came when the team lost to #5 ranked Greenwich (4/27) in the 10th inning where the team lost 2-3. When the team did score more than 10 runs, the pitching let them down and lost the game 11-14 against Norwalk (4/16), a team they should have beat. In order for the boys to make up for the past seven games, the pitching must stay consistent, the hitting also needs to pick up in key situations. The next game for the team will be against Ridgefield on Monday (5/3) at Ridgefield, weather permitting
