Girls Golf Preview

By Lilliana Cullen

Although the girls golf team did not make FCIACs last year, they are determined to become champions. Senior captains, Megan Hobbs and Bridget Wolters are pumped for the upcoming season. “We are really excited and we are happy to get some new faces on the team. I think we are just looking forward to having a fun season!”  The team lost one senior this year, but they are looking forward to the extremely enthusiastic leadership throughout the season. Sophomore Emily Cohen says, “I am excited for the new freshman, they are very promising. I think we have a lot of potential this year. It’s going to be an awesome season with awesome captains.” Wolters and Cohen took first place for the first time in Darien Girls Golf history at the Guimaraes Tournament, so the talent is evident on this team. Their first match is April 4th against Wilton at home. There is a lot of talent on this team, and they have a strong chance of taking home a win at FCIACs this year.
