Darien Struggles in Second Scrimmage of the Year vs. Westhill

By Will Pegler

The Boys Varsity Baseball team took on Westhill on March 29 at Darien High School. Despite a strong defensive effort, the Wave lost the game with a final score of 4-2. The boys had strong pitching and good fielding, but the offense did not seem to show up for the Blue Wave. There were several base running errors throughout the game with runs being left on base to end a few innings. Senior captain Cord Fox said: "Our mistakes on the bases definitely hurt us. Luckily this was only a scrimmage and we should be able to clean up these mistakes once the regular season starts". The Blue Wave's first regular season game is on Saturday, April 1st against Fitch High School in Groton, CT. Come out and support!
