Girls Hockey Takes the Win Against East Catholic

By Julia Clarke

DHS’s girls Ice Hockey Teams takes the win in a double overtime; bringing victory to the team and State Final game this Saturday.

In the first period DHS was down 2-0. The team was struggling a bit to connect and make ends meet, but in the second period that quickly changed. Darien scored two goals and made it a tie against East Catholic.

By the end of the game neither teams scored and the game continued into over time and then double over time.

No one scored in overtime, but Kiki Tropsa a junior on the DHS team scored the third goal in double overtime, resulting in DHS’ victory. “Kiki is an amazing player. She has been an absolute blast to play with and she is amazing at the sport. We could not have done it without her”, says Sally Cassidy who is also on the varsity team.
