On Tuesday, February 11, the Blue Wave Basketball Team
traveled up I-95 to face the Danbury High School Hatters. The Wave entered the
game needing one win to clinch their first CIAC state playoff birth in 24
years.
Senior Matt Staubi led the team with 29 points and was complemented by
Chima Azuonwu’s 18 points. The two carried the team to a slim 66-64 victory in
a hostile Danbury environment. Coach Kyle Marian said, "It’s a big win. I’m
really, really proud of my guys and the guys who have been in this program over
the four years."

history.
