On Saturday, February 8th, at 8:00 pm, the Blue Wave Boys
hockey team took on Norwalk-McMahon at the SoNo Ice House. This was the first
meeting of the season for the two teams, and was also their last regular season
meeting. Darien came into this game as the number one team in the state. Coming
after an overtime thriller versus Fairfield Prep, this game seemed like a walk
in the park for Darien. Ultimately, the Blue Wave took home the victory winning
by a score of 6-0, completing their fourth shutout of the season. Goals came
from seniors Tommy Watters, Rudy Blosio, and Robby Juterbock, freshman Max Romeyn,
and sophomore Jay Dickson. “We were able to dominate in all phases and blow
them out,” senior Captain Jack Massie said after the game.
Come watch the Blue Wave Hockey team’s next game, on Monday,
February 10th, at 8:40 pm, at Darien Ice Rink versus
Staples-Weston-Shelton co-op.
