As most knowledgeable fans and
followers of the four major American sports leagues know, the end-of-season
honors bestowed by the NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB are voted on by a number of
sportswriting organizations, including the Associated Press and the Baseball
Writers’ Association of America. In an attempt to minimize controversy, a
Darien High School sportswriters panel was assembled to nominate and vote on
the recipients of the second annual Neirad
House Basketball Awards and Honors. Names in parentheses indicate other vote
getters.
