On Wednesday, March 26, the Blue Wave Lacrosse Team traveled
to upstate Connecticut to take on the Salisbury School in a pre-season
scrimmage. The Wave technically lost 9-8, but when they pulled their starting
players, they were winning comfortably 8-4. Sophomore Jack Kniffin led the way
with three goals and was complemented by fellow attackers and seniors Peter
Lindley and John Reed. Senior captain Brad McCarthy, who was sidelined with
flu-like symptoms, said, “I was very happy with this scrimmage and feel like we
are coming together as a unit and have already made major improvements since
our Deerfield scrimmage.”
Look out for the Wave to stay hot leading into the regular
season.
