DHS Baseball Moves Forward in Big Win

-By Christian Panier-

The DHS Varsity Baseball team handily defeated Bridgeport Central 17-2 on the DHS varsity turf on Wednesday. With this win, Coach Michael Scott and the team moved to an 8-4 record. Highlights included senior Teddy Malley’s (pictured right) pitching, recording six strikeouts in only four innings, and senior Ryan MacDonald’s homerun. Spectators were pumped up with the great showing from their starting lineup. Thursday’s game produced a similar result. DHS’s home 10-point shutout over Brien McMahon has pumped the team up for their next game, taking place Friday at 3:45 at home against Fairfield Warde. In JV news, the boys trounced Central nine to nothing on Wednesday pushing their record to 6-5. The Freshman and Junior Varsity squads are also set to face Warde Friday at 3:45 and 4:00 respectively.
