Darien boys varsity is over for the season, but they didn't go without a good showing on the ice. They took on the #2 seed Notre Dame of West Haven in the playoffs on Saturday, March 7th,suffering a heartbreaking 2-1 loss. After defeating Avon 4-1 on March 9th, it seemed the team could make it all the way, but Notre Dame shut them down. Darien's season is now over, and the only thing that remains for them in the winter season is the team banquet.
