DHS Rugby Looking for Players

-By: Jose Corte-Real-

All teams need players; sometimes more isn’t better, but in a sport where there are 30 players on the field at any one time, more actually is much better. In rugby there is so much running, tackling, pain, and potential injuries that substitutions are constantly in high demand. The Darien High School Rugby Football Club needs people to fill sub spots for a scrimmage against Staples on March 14.th Players will have to run non-stop and be prepared to take a few hits on the field. All grades are encouraged to join. No experience needed. You will be surprised how easy rugby is to learn

Although there are occasional injuries and tackles that take place, rugby is one of the most rewarding sports for all players. First off, guys aren't restricted to being a lineman who can't carry the ball. Also, this game takes a grueling amount of effort and strength to have success, which makes victory that much sweeter. I started playing sophomore year and it was all downhill from their. All of you new players will learn as i did that you can take guys down that are 100+ pounds heavier than you are without worrying about getting hurt. We all look out for each other here at rugby, come and join the team. Also, we are going to beat the crap out of staples.
