BWVB Pulls in Another Win

The Girl’s Volleyball Team Comes Back After a Rough First Set
By Kylie Maier

The Girl’s Varsity Volleyball Team brought in yet another win this past Friday (9/30)when they faced Greenwich High School at home.
The Blue Wave Girls’ Volleyball Team remains undefeated with an 8-0 streak. However, Friday’s game was not the usual easy win. The game lasted four sets and Greenwich won the first set at (21-25).
Coach LaRusso changed the lineups after the first game, returning players to their usual position on the court. LaRusso made the right call, as BWVB won the next three games (25-19) (25-20) (25-12). However, many of the players were disappointed with the rough start. “[It was] not really a great game but we pulled through” said junior Brittany Osborn. Friday’s game was the first time this year BWVB “dropped” a set. Because the team lost the first game, they cannot match their 2009 record of 25-0, with no dropped sets.
Come see BWVB bring in another win at their next game, Monday, October 2nd, against Staples at DHS. Check out MaxPreps for the season stats.
