Darien took on New Canaan, Wilton, Norwalk, and Brien McMahon, defeating all but New Canaan on Tuesday. The meet went smoothly for DHS Boys Track at the start, winning almost every event on the track, but when the 4x400 came around and it was time to win, Darien came up short with a loss against New Canaan in this event. Due to this setback , the pressure was on the high jumpers to win the event in order to come out on top of New Canaan, or come up short with 2nd to tie the meet. In the end, the jumpers put up a good effort but ended up in 2nd, tying New Canaan in the overall meet 75-75. As for the other scores, Darien defeated McMahon 99-61, and pummeled Wilton 108-42 and Norwalk 110-40. The Darien track team ends up with a record of 13-4-1, with the next meet being the FCIAC final on Tuesday May 26th in Danbury. With this the team would tie New Canaan for the FCIAC East title, but New Canaan would be the champions due to a tiebreaker where they had beaten Ridgefield and the Wave had not.
