Darien Boy's Lacrosse Beats Yorktown

The Darien Boy’s Lacrosse team defeated visiting rival Yorktown this weekend with a 15-4 win on Saturday. To open the festivities Senior Matt Meyjes buried one early in the first quarter and two more later on in the game. To follow, Junior Logan McGovern scored five goals and had four assists. Senior Kevin Lindley was also able to score two goals despite being covered by a Maryland commit. In the mid-field, Riley Stewart, Jack Joyce, Finley Collins, and Brian Minicus played great and excelled in the transition game. Senior Long- stick middie  Nick Percarpio had several ground balls and dominated between the restraining boxes. Overall “it was a great game and an even better way to kick off the season,” said Jack Beatty, “I am really excited for the rest of the season.” The boy’s take on McMahon today home at four.
