It was only the second match of the season and the girls pulled through with a strong win. “Allie is still trying to figure out the lineup and who plays well with each other. We were not expecting such a strong win, or even a win at all. I am really proud of the team and I can already tell this season is going to be great”, said junior captain Grace Wakim.

“Everyone took their match seriously and played with heart”, said teammate of Wakim, Grace Fay. For the past two years, girls JV Tennis has not played against Fairfield Warde and everyone went into the match with a winning attitude.

“The match was tough in the beginning because only a select number of girls played each set, but they did great and it turned out to work just fine”, said junior Annabel Hartigan.
