The Darien Varsity Baseball team took down Fitch High School in Groton, CT on Sunday, April 2nd by a margin of 5-1. Senior pitcher Jake Geddes was on fire, striking out 14 of the 15 batters he faced. Sophomore Henry Williams came in to pitch the 6th inning, and junior Justin Jordan came in to close out the game. Pitching was huge for the Wave on Sunday, junior Justin Jordan said; "All three of us who pitched were able to get quick outs and keep control of the game throughout. I'm really happy with the way everyone played". On the offensive side, senior Peter Marren had a two-run homer that sparked the Wave's hitting and sophomore Henry Williams had a few RBI's. The Wave looks to stay hot against New Fairfield at 4:30 at DHS.
